Demario Davis is an inside linebacker that nobody is talking about and that’s surprising. Davis can play both inside and outside linebacker and would fit into Dan Quinn’s defensive scheme very well. He has that speed factor that Quinn is after and is a very sound tackler of the football. What’s not to like about that?

Davis posted a 4.61 40-yard dash which was at the top of his class coming out of the 2012 NFL draft and just recently turned 27.

It appears that the Falcons are down to either signing ILB James Laurinaitis or possibly Davis. Both would add depth to a position that doesn’t have any and would at the very least be a stopgap until the 2017 offseason. The Falcons aren’t going to have a great linebacking corps in 2016. That’s a given. But they can still add depth and be a rather decent group and let their much improved defensive line lead the way.

P.S. go and take a look at who that one like is on our twitter account.
