Atlanta Falcons: Reasons For Optimism in 2016
Reason 2: Devonta Freeman
For a running back with 13 starts, a patchwork interior offensive line, a sketchy offensive coordinator in the eyes of some, and an offense with a turnover problem on the season, the former Florida State Seminole put together a very impressive season with 1,056 yards and 11 touchdowns as well as another 73 catches for three touchdowns.
The team already got off the a strong start with the acquisition of former Cleveland Brown center Alex Mack which definitely upgrades the center position and gives the team its best center hands down since the days of Todd McClure. If Freeman can put up those numbers mixed those circumstances, it is not outrageous at all to believe that Freeman can top those numbers with a second season in the zone-blocking scheme and an upgraded offensive line.
