Su’a Cravens, USC

Is it a linebacker? Is it a pass rusher? Is it a safety?

No — it’s just Su’a Cravens, one of the most intriguing prospects in the entire draft class. The truth is, Cravens has the potential to play all three of those positions, it’s simply a matter of where his future team sees him fit best.

His most likely role will either be as an inside linebacker or a safety at the next level. The Falcons need help at both positions and could get tremendous value by selecting Cravens. He has the speed and coverage skills of a safety but also has the instincts and toughness to play at linebacker.

Could he still be there for the Falcons on day two? At this stage, your guess is as good as mine. Cravens could easily be selected in the first round due to his wide skill set and potential to become a great player.

In an ideal situation, grabbing Cravens in the first round could be done by trading back a few spots and acquiring some extra picks in the process. Maybe that’s wishful thinking for the Falcons. Either way, a team with Cravens on will greatly benefit from his services.
