The Atlanta Falcons have had a lot of great moments in the Georgia Dome. From NFC Championship games to walk-off pick sixes to game-winning field goals, the dome has pretty much seen it all. And while change is always good, it’s going to be hard to let go of what has become a part of history.

The Falcons have just eight games remaining in the dome before moving into their new stadium right next door. The exquisite Mercedes-Benz dome is moving right along and will be up and running before we know it. But that doesn’t mean that the Falcons aren’t going to cherish every remaining moment that they have in the last season of the dome.

Since the dome has featured several different uniforms over the years for the Falcons, it’s only right to have them wear a throwback at least one time during their eight hom

e games. I could really care less which uniform that is, but it needs to be done no matter what.

A lot of fans want the Falcons to wear 90’s throwbacks in their last game ever in the dome against the rival New Orleans Saints. That seems rather fitting since it would be the final goodbye and against the most hated team in their franchise’s existence.

Let’s take to twitter to see how the fans reacted to this proposal.

"If the Falcons come out in these jerseys for the final home game in the Georgia Dome"

"That would be"

This is a very small portion of what the Falcons’ fans want to see happen but you get the point. We got to see the Falcons wear throwback jerseys in recent years but haven’t seen them wear any in a while.

Many also expect the Falcons to have an entirely new wardrobe starting in 2017 when their new stadium opens. New stadiums are usually a good time to give the team a new identity and that’s probably going to happen in this case.

But we’re talking right now and the Falcons need to do their fan base some justice and honor their last season with some throwback uniforms. It doesn’t have to be every game, but it at least needs to happen once.
