6) Deion Jones – MLB

When your name is already being thrown around as being the Atlanta Falcons’ starting middle linebacker as a rookie, the expectations to live up to that is pretty darn high. Realistically, Jones won’t be the starter right away, but that isn’t going to stop the fan base from wanting to see it happen.

Jones was drafted to play right out of the gate. Arthur Blank wanted three starters out of this 2016 draft class and they pretty much did just that. Jones is a highly athletic linebacker that will hopefully be Atlanta’s version of Luke Kuechly in the very near future, but for now, he’s got to get past the pesky Paul Worrilow.

This will be a very fun training camp battle to watch. This is probably the most clear-cut battle that we can mark down, but don’t write off Worrilow just yet. Worrilow has still taken first-team reps throughout the first two weeks of OTA’s and won’t go down without a fight.

Expect Worrilow to win the job out of camp but for Jones to take over full-time 2-3 weeks into the season. Jones’ ceiling is as high as it gets while Worrilow’s is closing in by the day.
