The Atlanta Falcons have the best WR duo in the NFC South
Do the Atlanta Falcons have the best WR duo in the NFC South? YUP
When it comes to wide receiver duos in the NFC South, the Atlanta Falcons sit atop that list with Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu.
No other duo comes remotely close to these two. The New Orleans Saints have one of the top 5 worst duos in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers’ only threat is Kelvin Benjamin and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ only threat is Mike Evans.
Jones is the best receiver in the NFC South and is neck-and-neck with Antonio Brown for the No.1 ranking in the entire NFL. And having a 6-foot-2, 215-pound combatant in Sanu will make playing against the Falcons very difficult.
Jones is going to get his numbers in 2016. He’s going to catch 100 balls and soar over the 1,000-yard mark yet again, but it’s Sanu that will elevate them into a top 10 duo in the NFL.

Both Jones and Sanu can lineup anywhere on offense. They’re outside receivers that like to lineup in the slot and that will leave opposing cornerback’s terrified. The main objective in 2016 is to not know where Matt Ryan is going to throw the ball. Will he throw it to Jones? Will he throw it to Sanu? If it gets to that point, watch out because these guys are going to be incredibly hard to stop.
The NFC South is a division with a lot of young talent at the receiver position, but no team other than the Falcons have two guys that can contribute at a very high level.
Jones and Sanu have a very good chance to combine for over 2,500 receiving yards by themselves. Jones and Roddy White were able to combine for 2,377 in 2015, so to think Jones and Sanu can’t do a little bit better than that is silly!

This duo is very much so under the radar, but I can assure you that it won’t be by seasons’ end.
