Devin Hester vs. Devin Fuller

This particular matchup will possibly determine two positions: Wide receiver and returner. The No. 4 wide-out spot is pretty much up for grabs between these two and the speed from either receiver can open things up even more for this offense.

An ongoing toe injury limited Hester to just five games of action in 2015 in which he didn’t even record a catch. He also only recorded 269 yards worth of punt and kick returns in 2015. Can Hester get 100 percent?

The team hopes so and you would think that he is making considerable progress since it’s late June and the team hasn’t released him as of yet. The possibility is still there but I feel the coaching staff once to squeeze one more productive year out of the potential future Hall-of-Famer.

As far as Fuller goes, the former UCLA Bruin is electric in the open field and can really be a nice addition to the offense as well as special teams. He also needs development but Fuller will be fully healthy himself when training camp opens and a healthy Fuller will get the looks that an injured Hester will hope to get at some point.

Prediction: Devin Hester – This one is tough to be honest. The thing is, no one truly knows when or if Hester will return. At least Fuller will be on par to get some looks in training camp. So why go Hester in this choice? Simply because if he’s healthy and shows a little juice on special teams, he’s a lock on the roster. Even with the young Fuller in place.
