1. Drew Brees

Drew Brees has been a great player in this division not for a decade now. His service time is not what gained him the number one spot on this list though, rather the stats he has consistently put up, regardless of the team around him.

If you want to understand just how truly great of a quarterback Brees is take a look at some of his career numbers. He is fourth in the all-time passing yards list with 60,903. Only Dan Marino, Brett Farve and Peyton Manning have passed for more yardage. He is tied for third in the all-time passing touchdowns list tied with Tom Brady with 428. The only names above his? Manning, and Farve, and unlike both of those guys he isn’t done yet.

Brees has shown no signs of slowing down at 37-years-old and put up great numbers over the past few seasons finishing back-to-back years just short of 5,000 passing yards. He is the heart and soul of the New Orleans Saints and, much like Brady, makes everyone around him better.

Not only is Brees one of the best of all-time, he is a great competitor who much like Matt Ryan is one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the league. Whenever Brees is in the game, the Saints feel they have a chance to come away with it. He is not only the best player in this division, but one of the best quarterbacks we have seen in the NFL.
