3) Ricardo Allen, FS

Everyone around the Atlanta Falcons’ fan base is starting to see the potential in free safety Ricardo Allen. Many of you already know his journey from a practice squad spot as a rookie cornerback to his starting free safety job last season so I won’t go in-depth on that.

But what I will say is this. When it comes to hardworking players, Allen sits atop that list on the Falcons. To go through a position chance just one year removed from nearly being cut and not resigned has got to be extremely nerve-racking. Just imagine the amount of stress Allen must have gone through knowing that he would probably get cut if he didn’t pan out at the safety position.

But Allen put that behind him and look at him now. After a much better than expected sophomore campaign in which he played in all but one game, Allen is starting to look like a hidden gem on how special this kid could turn out to be.

The sky is the limit for this 24-year-old.
