2) DeVondre Campbell’s great start at camp carried over into live gameplay

There has been a lot of hype surrounding rookie linebacker DeVondre Campbell after his impressive start to training camp. But none of that mattered unless he could translate it into an actual game.

Campbell did just that against the Redskins. He was flying to the ball, making tackles and inching ever so closer to a starting job come week 1 of the regular season. Campbell finished with four tackles (3 solo) and had a tackle for loss.

Campbell has come into camp and has made a name for himself. This is a player that is hungry for the spotlight and he’s definitely earning it as each day passes. If he keeps this up, he will have the starting weak side linebacking job in his back pocket sooner than later.
