The Atlanta Falcons continue to shake up the bottom of their roster by releasing Robert Leff and Soma Vainuki while signing Marvin Hall and Jack Lynn

With the Atlanta Falcons inching closer to training camp they continue to churn the bottom of their roster in search of players who can beef up the competition for final spots. They made two moves on Monday after making two others on Friday in an attempt to do just that.

Fullback Soma Vainuki and offensive lineman Robert Leff were both let go and replaced with receiver Marvin Hall and linebacker Jack Lynn according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional.

As for the players released, Vainuki was an undrafted free agent out of USC that spent time with the Houston Texans last year. He was never favored to beat out Derrick Coleman for the job, but also was going to have to compete with rookie running back Brian Hill, who head coach Dan Quinn says may try the spot as well.

Leff is an undrafted rookie guard listed at 6-foot-6 and 299 pounds. He has since been signed by the Green Bay Packers as the former Auburn player was hardly unemployed.

Lynn (6-foot-3, 240-pounds) played collegiately for the University of Minnesota but was undrafted. He recorded 215 tackles in four seasons including 76 and 77 in his final two seasons.

Hall has history with Falcons offensive coordinator and play caller Steve Sarkisian as both were at Washington together. He’s spent time with the Arizona Cardinals but has never been active in an NFL game. He’s got a long way to go to make an active roster as he was seldom used even with the Huskies.

For his time in the NCAA, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound Hall had just 25 career receptions with a career high of nine in his senior season.
