Due to his second violation of the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy, Falcons corner back Jalen Collins finds himself suspended for the first 10 games of the 2017 NFL season.

This suspension is disheartening to Falcons fans, as many thought Collins was finally developing into a very good NFL corner. Since it is his second suspension, he will have difficulty proving his worth to the front office and coaching staff, especially when he is surrounded by other play-makers like Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford in the defensive secondary.
Falcons’ general manager Thomas Dimitroff commented on Collins’ suspension:
"We are extremely disappointed that for the second straight season we are dealing with a suspension for Jalen. Such are the consequences when certain choices are made. Our decisions going forward will be based on what Dan [Quinn] and I feel is best for the team."
According to Kelsey Conway, Collins can still participate in practices and the Falcons’ preseason games leading up to the start of the regular season:

While expectations for Collins are not high at this time, hopefully the young corner can turn his bad habits around and focus on developing his play through the proper methods.
