2. Cornerback depth behind the top three

Given the recent announcement of Jalen Collins’s suspension, depth at cornerback has been called into question. The top three are set with Desmond Trufant, Robert Alford and Brian Poole, but the Falcons will need a fourth corner to step up in Collins’s stead.

The likeliest candidate to fill the void is CJ Goodwin, who showed flashes last year in his first season as a cornerback. He also demonstrated great value as a gunner on special teams and that gives him a leg up on the competition. Deji Olatoye, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, and Akeem King are the other names to watch once the starters exit.
