Falcons-Lions: One Positive, One Negative from a wild win
In a Wild Win in Detroit, there were many positives and negatives to take away from the game. Here is one of each that stood out for the Atlanta Falcons.
Some win, right? In one of the most wild games you’ll ever see, the Atlanta Falcons squeaked by the Lions in a 30-26 win.
I, like many others, thought this game should’ve never ended the way that it did, mainly because of some silly mistakes by the Falcons. Yet, there were some good things that the Falcons did to help them hold on.
Here is one positive and negative that caught my eye:

Positive: The great game plan by Steve Sarkisian
Going into this game, the key to stopping the Lions was keeping Matthew Stafford and that red hot offense off the field. If not for 3 key turnovers, which I will get into later, the Falcons dominated this game.
Coming off a 2 Touchdown game against the Packers lat Sunday, running back Devonta Freeman continued his tremendous play with 106 yards rushing and a Touchdown. Fellow running back Tevin Coleman also contributed with some key runs and finishing the day with 46 yards on 6 carries.
The Falcons controlled time of possession for most of the game. The run game contributed to big explosive plays once again. Over the last two weeks, you get the feeling that Sark is getting a good feel for the offense and that is a wonderful sight to see for Falcons fans.
Negative: Turnovers
Lets be real…this game should’ve never been close. The Falcons dominated the Lions and still won by just four points, because of three key turnovers. Though, this wasn’t one of the best games we’ve seen quarterback Matt Ryan play, two of his three interceptions were not on him.
Lions safety Glover Quin made terrific play on the Pick-6 to bring the Lions back in the game before the half. However, the other two, which went off the hands of Tevin Coleman and receiver Mohamed Sanu, are balls Sanu and Coleman catch 99 percent of the time. The Falcons gift wrapped the Lions 10 points. If not for those darn turnovers, this would’ve been a comfortable win over a pretty good Lions team.

But you take a win any way you can get them and all that matters is that we’re 3-0.
