Atlanta Falcons vs. Bills: Week 4 staff predictions

Game: Buffalo Bills (2-1) at Atlanta Falcons (3-0)
Breakdown: The Buffalo Bills are an old school type of football team playing in the modern era — the strength of the team lies within its defense and run game, while the quarterback is just asked to not make any mistakes. It’s worked out for the Bills three weeks in, despite back to back terrible games by star RB Lesean McCoy, as they’ve run out to a 2-1 record.
That Bills defense has given up 37 total points through three games, and have yet to allow a passing touchdown this season. They haven’t exactly faced a murderer’s row of offenses — the Jets, Panthers and Broncos — but it’s still nonetheless impressive to accomplish something like that in the modern NFL. The Atlanta Falcons will be a different beast entirely, the likes of which this Bills defense hasn’t seen so far this season.
On the other side of the field, Buffalo has yet to commit a turnover this year. Tyrod Taylor has game managed his way through the first three games admirably, but he’ll have to do much more than that on Sunday to keep up with the high powered Falcons offense. If Lesean McCoy gets taken away again things could get ugly fast.
Even with the back injury, I’d venture to predict that Julio Jones will catch his first touchdown this week.
Prediction: Atlanta 34, Buffalo 20
