Week 16- Atlanta Falcons (9-5) vs New Orleans Saints (10-4)

The Falcons squeaked by the Buccaneers in Week 15 with a 24-21 win in Tampa Bay as the Bucs missed a game-tying field goal as time expired. This win helped Atlanta move one step closer to a playoff berth.

The Falcons head to New Orleans this week for their second matchup vs their division rival Saints. The Falcons won the first game in Atlanta 20-17 as linebacker Deion Jones secured the win with an interception in the end zone.

The Falcons will be in a very tough environment to win in this week in New Orleans. I said before the season that both teams will win at home but a lot of things have changed for both teams since then. Running back Tevin Coleman is back for the Falcons this week after clearing concussion protocol and a myriad of injuries are plaguing the Saints on defense along with their offensive line. They are also in danger of losing three tight ends this week due to injury.

After the Falcons beat the Saints in Atlanta in Week 14, I had the Saints rebounding against their division foes by securing a win this week. Due to the huge injury bug to New Orleans, I’ll go with the Falcons upsetting the Saints at home to sweep them for a second straight year and clinching a playoff berth.

This game will go down to the wire in the same way that it did in Tampa Bay but I expect Atlanta’s defense to come through in the clutch again and show why they’re a top 10 defense in what will be an NFC Championship Game type of atmosphere in Week 16.
