Fellow beer lovers unite! The Atlanta Falcons have announced that they will be serving a five dollar craft beer this year inside of Mercedez-Benz stadium.

The fans of the Atlanta Falcons are likely already aware that they have one of the best deals on stadium food in the NFL. On Friday, the ownership of Mercedez-Benz stadium announced that in addition to serving normal fan food cheaply, they would add craft beer to their value pricing.

This season, a fan visiting Mercedez-Benz stadium will be able to buy a 12-ounce beer for five dollars. A larger, 20-ounce beer will also be on sale for seven dollars.

This is just another example of the Atlanta Falcons rewarding their fanbase for all the support they show towards their team. With declining television numbers and the rising costs of season tickets, teams should be looking to increase as much value they can for their fans.

There is an old adage that a good fanbase is the lifeblood of a franchise. By already having deeply discounted concession prices, the Falcons are moving in the right direction. Football is more fun when the audience is attentive and happy. Ownership may not want to cut ticket prices but making it more affordable for their fans is a smart move.

The crazy element to the pricing of the craft beer is that it would be pretty hard to be able to buy a craft beer for that price point at any other hotspot in Atlanta. The Falcons are working towards turning their new stadium into a place where it makes sense to entertain family and friends without needing to take out a loan first.
