Nick Foles named starter against Atlanta Falcons
By Jacob Yturri
When the Atlanta Falcons face the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, they will be playing against a Super Bowl winning quarterback.
It’s weird to think that it is a good thing for the Atlanta Falcons that the Philadelphia Eagles named a Super Bowl winning quarterback their starter.
The Falcons will be going on the road when the face the Eagles but they have less to fear as star quarterback Carson Wentz was ruled out with a rehabbing ACL injury. Nick Foles, the former Arizona quarterback, is back in the starter’s chair.
The last time Foles suited up for the Eagles he won the team a Super Bowl. Without a doubt, Wentz is the better quarterback despite being less experienced than Foles. However, Foles has proven he can get it done on the highest stage in football.

With Wentz being out, this gives the Falcons an excellent chance to steal a win on the road.
Atlanta will need to take advantage of this opportunity presented to them. Unless Wentz suffers a setback later on during the season, the rest of the teams playing against the Eagles will be playing against them at full strength. Wentz had proven he has what it takes to carry his team to the playoffs and looks to be one of the best young quarterbacks in this league.
It is worth considering that if the Falcons were to beat the Falcons they would be on the fast track to not only winning the NFC South, but the conference as a whole.
