Trade for Earl Thomas

The previous two moves were centered around free agents. It is easier and usually cheaper to sign a free agent than make a trade. However, if there is a legitimate trade the Falcons should consider, it’s this one. Many of the reasons are obvious. Dan Quinn coached Earl Thomas in Seattle. Quinn built his whole Atlanta Falcons defense, around the Legion of Boom.

Thomas may not be what he once was, but I’m sure he’d be a huge asset to the Falcons, on the field and off of it. He knows what Quinn is trying to do on defense so there wouldn’t be much of a learning curve.

It has also been noted just how bad the relationship between Thomas and the Seahawks organization is. A fresh start could be all Thomas needs to get back to his old self. Could you imagine Earl Thomas playing with this Falcons defense? This would be a move that would send waves around the entire league.
