Eric Berry

Ok this one is going to hit home with me just for the simple back there is some personal stuff that goes along with this choice.

Eric Berry has been an athlete for as long as I can remember, and you could not meet a nicer guy. He was our high school quarterback and he had the maturity and demeanor of somebody who was years removed from high school.

He’s now a multiple time All-Pro and at one point in time, he was one of, if not, the best safety in the game. He’s been hampered by injuries, he fought cancer and won. I feel like people see that he’s not as athletic as he once was and that could be true, but they don’t realize the football mind this man possesses.

At one point in time in terms of players at the safety position, it was Eric Berry, Earl Thomas and then everyone else. If the Falcons could add someone of his stature to their secondary full of youth and talent it could work wonders. Let’s not forget, he’s not unemployed because teams think he cant play no more, he is still a play maker in the secondary and would work wonders in a situational role.

And of course, how could I forget this aspect……the hometown boy would get to play for his hometown team.
