5th Round – Grady Jarrett (2015 – 137th Overall Pick)

This one is easy. Grady Jarrett is the best Falcons fifth-round pick of all time and when it’s said and done, he could be one of the best fifth-round drafts picks in NFL history.

Three of the four guys drafted ahead of him in the 2015 NFL draft are no longer with the team and Jarrett is the best defensive player on the team as we speak.

Jarrett tied the record with most sacks in a Super Bowl with three and he’s fresh off his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams. This kind of performance isn’t a surprise to most because of his bloodlines. His father is Falcons great Jessie Tuggle.

There weren’t many big-time players drafted in the fifth round by the Falcons. Notable players include Jacquizz Rodgers, Kroy Biermann, Michael Boley and the closest competition for Jarrett was Damontae Kazee.

This is only the beginning for Jarrett and there is reason to believe that the best is yet to come.

6th Round – Travis Hall (1995 181st Overall Pick)

The best sixth-round pick came down to Travis Hall, Matt Bosher, and Foyesade Oluokun. While Oluokun had a great rookie season and Bosher has been a solid punter for the Falcons, Travis Hall is the best sixth-round draft pick in team history.

Hall was productive for the Falcons. Hall had his best season for the Falcons in 1997 when he recorded 10.5 sacks. Hall was never able to replicate that type of success but he was still able to get to the quarterback while he played for the Falcons.

Hall ranks fourth all-time in sacks for the Falcons.
