Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank should make it a clean sweep.

Several reports have surfaced Sunday evening that the Atlanta Falcons are going to part ways with head coach Dan Quinn and a few of those reports also have the Falcons moving on from General Manager Thomas Dimitroff as well.

Arthur Blank should not stop with those two, he should make it a clean sweep and get rid of both Quinn and Dimitroff as well as President and CEO Rich McKay as well as offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.

People forget that McKay was the Atlanta Falcons general manager from 2004-2007 and was relieved of his duties as GM but then promoted by Arthur Blank to his current role. After 16 seasons of McKay overseeing every aspect of the franchise, they are in no better position now than they were in 2008 when he moved up the ladder.

It is clear and obvious that the Atlanta Falcons are terrible from top to bottom.

When we perform “spring cleaning” every year, there isn’t one part of your home that you don’t go through and either clean or get rid of and that is exactly what Arthur Blank should be doing. He has had a lot of people stealing money from him for years and it’s time to remove the dead weight from the Atlanta Falcons franchise.

There are going to be a lot of attractive pieces to the Falcons this offseason when they are able to start interviewing. They have several pieces on defense to build around including Grady Jarrett, A.J. Terrell, and Deion Jones and unlike other terrible teams such as Houston, the Falcons are going to have very good draft picks.

For the first three games of the year, the Atlanta Falcons offense averaged 30 points per game. However, they struggled to score just 32 points combined. Koetter 2.0 has been an absolute disaster of a hire and no one wants to hear about how “this isn’t his offense”.

There are plenty of moves that can be made at this point and whether or not they salvage a season isn’t the point. Getting rid of the deadweight within the organization should be the goal of Arthur Blank at this point and giving this franchise the fresh start it deserves.
