Predicting the final three games of the Atlanta Falcons’ 2020 season

The Atlanta Falcons are just three games away from putting this putrid and forgettable 2020 season behind them, but there’s still time left to develop some young pieces and make headway towards a better year in 2021.

The Falcons enter the final stretch of the season with an abysmal 4-9 record and have already been eliminated from playoff contention. However, that doesn’t mean there still aren’t things to play for (like draft standing, for example). Well, really only draft standing.

Can the Atlanta Falcons somehow find a way to lose the final three games and lock up a potential top-five pick in the 2021 NFL Draft? Or will they win a couple that they’re not supposed to and end up dropping in the draft order?

Here’s a look at predictions for the Falcons’ final three games of the season, beginning with this weekend against the Bucs.

vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Atlanta Falcons will play host to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend and, honestly, it’s a tale of two cities.

The Bucs are closing in on a playoff berth and the Falcons are just ready for this season to be over.

That being said, Atlanta could potentially play spoiler to the Bucs if they were able to pick up a win at home.

That being said, I’m not expecting a win this weekend. Look for the offensive line to struggle against that Bucs’ pass-rush and for the Tampa Bay offense to do enough to win the game. It might be close for a while, but Tampa will find a way to close it out.

Final Score Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31, Atlanta Falcons 21
