Three firings that the Atlanta Falcons need to make happen as soon as possible

The Atlanta Falcons fell to 4-10 on the season with yet another loss, this time to NFC South rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they’re now in nice position to potentially score a top-five pick in this coming spring’s NFL Draft.

The Falcons have two games remaining: One against the Kansas City Chiefs and another against the Buccaneers- both on the road- and they’ll be looking to finish out the season on a positive note.

Of course, that ‘positive note’ is likely two losses that would all but guarantee that top-five pick.

As we look towards the future of the franchise, here are three firings that need to happen as soon as possible for the Atlanta Falcons.

3. Tosh Lupoi

Tosh Lupoi is the Falcons’ defensive line coach and the run game coordinator. Frankly, the rushing attack defensively hasn’t been bad, but the defensive line has been anything but impressive- especially in terms of a getting a pass-rush.

Lupoi has had an opportunity to develop a few talented edge-rushers on the defensive line and h simply hasn’t been able to do it.

Though he isn’t a bad coach by any means and does show knowledge of the game, that defensive line group needs a new voice and a breath of fresh air, especially at edge-rusher.
