Round 6, Pick 186 – T Cole Van Lanen, Wisconsin

Cole Van Lanen really stands out as a run blocker and coming from Wisconsin certainly posses the fundamentals and grit to be an impact starter.

Van Lanen collapses defenders off the ball with a good balance of push and power. His effectiveness in space isn’t eye-popping but he does what asked of him. Dealing with powerful rushers off the edge could be a problem for the Green Bay native but with some coaching could develop into an improved pass protector that already shines in the trenches.

Round 7, Pick 217 – LB Tony Fields II , West Virginia

Tony Fields is a linebacker but has the size of a safety and that compounded with his instincts and tough run-stopping abilities could allow him to carve out a role in Atlanta.

Fields is hard-charging in pursuit and his motor stands out despite the lackluster tackling ability at the point of attack and weak ball skills. Fields could be an instant impact player on special teams as he plays with impressive hustle while filling out depth on defense for the occasional big play.
