Specialists

Kicker: 1- Younghoe Koo, 2- Elliott Fry

This past season was a remarkable one for Koo as he rebounded after being cut in 2017 and not playing in 2018 to make his first pro bowl in 2020. Koo was 23/26 in 2019 before going posting an NFL high 94.9 percent FG rating, knocking down 37 of his 39 attempts.

Elliott Fry, who was known for his strong leg at South Carolina figures to end up elsewhere come August as teams typically only carry one kicker but is a solid player that could make his way back to Atlanta if Koo becomes injured or uncharacteristically struggles.

Punter: 1- Sterling Hofrichter, 2- Dom Maggio

Sterling Hofrichter’s 42.5 yards per punt was dead last in the NFL a season ago which is right around the number he consistently produced for four years at Syracuse.

Maggio wasn’t much better during his time at Wake Forrest. The Atlanta Falcons are unlikely to add another punter but there is a high likelihood Atlanta adds an undrafted free agent to battle in fall camp considering how poor Hofrichter was.

Position Grade: D
