Atlanta Falcons: Biggest similarities, differences with Philadelphia Eagles
Difference: Gap between talent of Falcons LB’s and the Eagles.
When you really look at it, the Atlanta Falcons have one of the best linebacker groups in the entire NFL.
Deion Jones, Foye Oluokun, and Mykal Walker, compared to the Eagles having Alex Singleton, Eric Wilson, and Genard Avery. It would not take a rocket scientist to realize the Falcons have a huge advantage at the position.
Deion Jones is one of the best at the position, Foye Oluokun was one of the best despite the lack of media attention, and Mykal Walker was quietly spectacular in coverage in his rookie season.
If we are being honest, the Eagles linebackers look like patchwork. They are the equivalent to parts of the Falcons defensive line and secondary.
It should give a huge advantage to the Falcons during the game because it is the position that is usually tasked with stopping the opposition’s tight ends.
It is easier to see Deion Jones and Foye Oluokun stopping Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert than seeing Alex Singleton and Eric Wilson stopping Kyle Pitts and Hayden Hurst. That may end up being the key to the whole game.
