Cordarrelle Patterson

This one hurts to write but when looking at the fact, Atlanta should actually look into trading Patterson away.

When the Falcons signed Patterson to a one-year, three million dollar deal, no one expected him to be as big of a contributor as he has been. He has been an absolute star for an offense that has needed it in the biggest way. Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson have been the two biggest players for the underwhelming Falcons offense.

As said before, Patterson is currently on a one-year deal. Every time he makes a big play, every time he scores a touchdown, his extension price goes up. If Atlanta wants to sign him to an extension right now, then go ahead, but until then they should consider all possibilities, including trading him.

Cordarrelle Patterson’s value has never been higher. He is making huge plays, he is scoring almost weekly, teams would really value him as a big piece to their offense. Out of all the players on this list, there is little doubt that Patterson would have the highest return.

Not only does he contribute on offense, but he also is one of the, if not the best, kick returners in the league. It has been shown by how teams kick the ball off to Atlanta. They have constantly kicked it short so that he is not the returner on the kickoff.

If a team looks to trade for him, they will have to be certain that they can mimic the way Arthur Smith currently uses him, or else they will get the Cordarrelle Patterson that has not done much of anything on the offensive side of the ball.

He is one of the most versatile players in the NFL, which is a huge value for any team out there. No doubt that multiple teams would be interested in him, so if Atlanta does not have an intention to sign him to a big extension, then they should go the route of trading him away as sad as that is.
