Ranking Atlanta Falcons 10 best players halfway through the season
4) Kyle Pitts – TE
Kyle Pitts has been everything the Atlanta Falcons wanted when they drafted him in the top five of the most recent NFL Draft.
Pitts and Patterson have been the two players who have shown up for Matt Ryan. Pitts has established a great rapport with Ryan early on and that should only get better as they play more with each other.
Pitts has already become the best tight end in the NFC, he has the most yards of any NFC tight end. He just needs to get more targets inside the red zone so that he can rack up the touchdowns and further establish his dominance.
Overall, Kyle Pitts has made so many plays for Atlanta’s offense. He makes hard catches look easy and he will only continue to get better as he plays more. It is a scary thought for opposing offenses.
Not to mention, he has already grabbed the attention of one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
3) Chris Lindstrom – RG
Chris Lindstrom has been the rock for the Falcons offensive line to this point in the season. He has quite obviously been the best lineman the team has. The only guy who could have a word with that is Jake Matthews, but Matthews has not been as consistent as Lindstrom.
Lindstrom is already a top-five guard in the NFL, yet he will not be looked at as one among the media. The guys next to him are really pulling down his attention, if this was an offensive line who was performing well, then he would be looked at as one of the tops at his position.
If there is one guy Matt can count on, it would be Chris. He is excellent in both facets of the game and continues to prove why Dimitroff took him high in the draft.
Hopefully, he can continue his dominant play through the second half of the season, the team will certainly need it.
