1. Matt Ryan is too great to allow his team to put up another terrible offensive effort against a struggling Jacksonville defense

If there is one obvious thing to take away from the games against the Patriots and Cowboys it is the fact that Ryan has little support. Watching the Cowboys and Patriots protect their quarterbacks with ferocity and run blocking successfully points out the problem for this Atlanta offense.

Not only do they lack the needed weapons on offense they can’t protect Ryan long enough to offer him the time to attempt to create a positive play. Against teams like the Panthers and Bucs that will continue to be the case this season.

However, Jacksonville lacks the pass rushers that the better teams Atlanta will face have. This combined with the fact Matt Ryan is coming off of two of the worst games of his career all points to Ryan having a huge game and leading the Falcons to a win.

What we have seen from Atlanta is when they are facing a bottom-tier team they are obviously the better team because they have Matt Ryan.  Ryan’s future with this team is murky but next Sunday he will remind Falcons fans just how great he can be.
