3. There is one player that gives Atlanta a chance to win every week and that is a healthy Cordarrelle Patterson

We have watched this offense with Patterson and the offense without him. When Patterson has been on the field and healthy this season Atlanta has been in every game late into the second half. When he has been hurt the Falcons have been blown out and put out of their misery early.

While some of this is due to the level of competition Atlanta was facing it is indicative of just how big of an impact Patterson has on this team.  Against a tough Carolina defense, Atlanta is going to need to lean on Patterson in this one.

This is the same Carolina defense that took Kyle Pitts out of the game in their last matchup. Meaning they will likely make it hard on the rookie in round two. Patterson is what makes this Atlanta offense work right now and the only clear consistent scoring threat.

It isn’t a stretch to say he will be the best skill player on the field on Sunday. As good as D.J. Moore is what Patterson has brought this season has been unique, exciting, and simply put better. If Patterson has a big game on Sunday Atlanta wins this game and keeps hope alive that their team is headed in the right direction.
