Second gift: Falcons defeating their longtime-bitter rival in their house

The Falcons taking down the Saints always feels amazing, especially when it happens in front of their home crowd.

What is better than seeing all the disappointed Saints fans as they file out of the dome knowing that the Falcons just beat their team?

This win was especially gratifying because of how it ended. The Falcons really dominated the Saints for most of the game before the defense started to give up big plays and gave up the lead late in the game.

Matt Ryan and Cordarrelle Patterson decided to take over the game proceeding the blown lead. Ryan hit Patterson down the sideline on the first play of the drive that put them in position to kick the game-winning field goal as time expired. Not many things are more satisfying than that.

There have been many games between these two teams over the years that have gone down to the wire, luckily for the Falcons, it went their way this year.

This all comes after the Saints have really dominated the Falcons for the better part of the past couple of years, too bad this game was not on Thanksgiving like in previous years.

Hopefully, the Atlanta Falcons can get the sweep over the New Orleans Saints as the regular season wraps up in week 18.
