3. If Tom Brady retires who takes over at quarterback and how many free agents leave?

Tom Brady’s Bucs are a collection of veterans and young players who combined for an impressive albeit annoying 2020 Super Bowl run. If Brady were to retire how many players are going to follow Tom out the door?

It wouldn’t be shocking to see Gronk leave the team and impending free agent Chris Godwin likely will look for a better quarterback situation. Even if Brady retires Tampa is still going to be a tough team for Atlanta to face. With a solid defensive line and a great offensive line, Tampa can still win games without Brady with a serviceable quarterback.

However, with Brady gone the Atlanta Falcons will believe they can beat the Bucs once again. It was only two short years ago that Jameis Winston was the quarterback for Tampa Bay and every time Atlanta played Tampa you knew they had a chance to beat the turnover-prone quarterback.

If Brady were to retire Atlanta suddenly has the best quarterback in the division and Tampa Bay like the Saints is relying on the rest of their roster to win games.   Brady retiring this off-season would be perfect timing and leave the division-wide open for Arthur Smith’s Falcons to make an improbable run.
