The two players the Atlanta Falcons should not and cannot trade
This has been some of the craziest 24 hours in Atlanta Falcons history.
Two days ago if you had told anyone that the Falcons would be one of the final destinations for quarterback Deshaun Watson, you would have been laughed at, but yet here we are. a
The Falcons have to avoid giving away two certain players
The talks about what the Atlanta Falcons could give up to acquire Deshaun Watson have run rampant. People say this player should be a part of the deal, while others say that player should be a part of the deal.
However, there are two players who should be viewed as untouchable within the Falcons organization—Kyle Pitts and A.J. Terrell
This is a horrendously lousy trade offer, essentially you would be giving up your two superstars, plus a lot more, for Deshaun Watson.
There is absolutely no way the Falcons front office should ever consider giving up either one of them, let alone both of them. They carried their side of the ball for the Falcons last year.
Not to mention, why would Watson want to go to Atlanta knowing that they already have a depleted roster and just gave up their two best players.
Who would Watson have to throw the ball to after that trade was complete? If you thought their receiving corps was bad already, imagine it without the threat of Kyle Pitts.
This offense would be historically bad even with Watson at the helm. Last year Matt Ryan did all he could do with the lack of talent around him, safe to say Watson would not be able to do much more with a group that is even worse.
Atlanta needs to realize that these two players are their building blocks of the future and they cannot afford to deal them away.
