Matt Ryan trade: 4 Teams that should be in the mix for the former MVP
By Nick Halden
4. The Miami Dolphins could be a surprise contender for Matt Ryan
If you’re in Miami and you start looking around within your conference do you really believe in Tua? Sure he has had great moments but do you think he is going to go out and beat Mahomes or Josh Allen? If the answer to this question is yes, you see something in Tua that the quarterback hasn’t shown in two years thus far.
Matt Ryan for Miami’s first-round pick plus other compensation would set Miami up to contend in a tough AFC and give Atlanta four picks in the first two rounds. Miami has solid pieces and was a contender when they had Ryan Fitzpatrick starting at quarterback two years ago. They switched to Tua and their season went sideways.
Much like the Colts, the Dolphins are a team that simply needs a quarterback to come in and be the adult be a leader and make the clutch throws that Tua and Wentz haven’t proven they can make. Ryan to Miami is unlikely but is there anything predictable about this NFL off-season thus far? Miami needs a veteran quarterback or an answer other than Tua. Matt Ryan would join a division that he is capable of winning and the Falcons would take a step forward in the rebuild.
