2. Devonta Freeman

The Colts already have one of the best offensive lines and running backs in all of football. Any moves the team makes will be depth moves to help set up Matt Ryan as he joins a new offense. One option could be bringing in a familiar face in Devonta Freeman. Freeman had his best seasons with Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons offense.

Since that time injuries took their toll and Freeman bounced around the league struggling to stick on a roster. Due to Baltimore’s injuries last season Devonta finally was given an extended chance in a well-established running attack. Freeman found a burst many around the league thought he had lost and finished with 576-rushing yards and found the end-zone five times.

Signing Freeman is a great depth move for the Colts and gives Ryan a familiar target out of the backfield. While he wouldn’t spend a lot of time on the field Freeman would be great depth and could be a key contributor off the bench.
