3. Mohamed Sanu

As maligned as the former Atlanta front office may have been (and rightly so) let’s take a moment to appreciate they were able to trade Sanu for a second-round pick. A round higher than the current Falcons front office was able to get for veteran Matt Ryan. Since the trade Sanu’s career has gone in the wrong direction as he has struggled with both the Patriots and 49ers since leaving Atlanta.

Bringing Sanu back would be a great move for a team that badly needs a veteran receiver. Sanu could be brought in as the third option at the position and given a chance to rebuild a bit of value in the last place he had success. Some of this success is due to the fact that Julio Jones demanded so much attention during his time with the Atlanta Falcons and Matt Ryan took advantage of that fact. However, there is no denying Sanu put together a highlight reel in Atlanta of clutch catches and a memorable deep pass to Julio Jones.

Sanu would be a great fit with the Falcons and give Mariota or Ridder a veteran target they can rely on. With Kyle Pitts and Drake London the only obvious reliable pass-catchers currently on the roster, it would be surprising if Atlanta doesn’t make at least one move at the position.
