9. Antonio Johnson, DB | Texas A&M

The Atlanta Falcons’ secondary needs to get beefed up and if Atlanta can’t focus on a specific player at a certain position in the back end Johnson would be able to wipe away a lot of mistakes and be a great building block alongside A.J. Terrell. Johnson has great length that allows him to win in the slot where not much get’s behind him or underneath.

Johnson also made plays in the box as he recorded 8.5 tackles for loss and although he hasn’t been as exposed to a single or double high look, the confidence he plays with would likely allow him to be successful in those roles also.

10. Trenton Simpson, OLB | Clemson

Simpson is another one of Brent Venables polished prospects that is still young and getting better. Simpson didn’t allow a single touchdown in coverage and the Tigers’ defense was on the field the 4th most plays in the ACC. Simpson’s top trait is glaring and that’s his speed when bolting into the backfield. Simpson had 12.0 tackles for loss last season where he just blazed past opposing linemen and wreaked havoc, while that aforementioned athleticism allows him to play a variety of roles.

Simpson is going to be a part of what looks to be a great Clemson 2022 defense and will garner a lot of attention ahead of the draft. Simpson would be a great addition and a perfect fit for the Atlanta Falcons.
