Three Atlanta Falcons players on their way out after the draft
Deion Jones – LB
To say Atlanta’s star linebacker, Deion Jones, had a disappointing season last year would be a severe understatement, he was downright horrendous and one of the worst in the entire NFL.
Even after losing Foye Oluokun to the Jaguars, Deion Jones might still be on his way out.
Just look at the recent moves the Falcons have made starting with the signing of Rashaan Evans, a former first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans and someone the Falcons coaching staff knows very well.
In the second round of the draft, they selected Troy Anderson who is a ridiculously athletic linebacker. It seems like he could be the replacement for Deion Jones.
And then they continued to dig Debo’s grave as they recently signed Nick Kwiatkoski who has had a lot of experience as a starter in the league.
Who knows, maybe they are just trying to find insurance in the case that Deion has another bad year, but logic would lead you to believe that they are looking to trade him post-June 1 and move on from yet another big contract.
Whatever the case is, Deion Jones was inexplicably bad last season and while he can turn it around, the Falcons might not want to take that risk
