Deion Jones – Linebacker

Not long ago was Deion Jones a Pro Bowl linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, but now he is a linebacker who will be fighting for his job when the season starts, if he is healthy.

No secret that Jones was a liability for Atlanta’s defense last year. He was constantly trying to catch up on plays and just seemed to process things slowly. Not only that but he also lacked effort when it came to running down the ball carrier.

Perhaps his struggles came down to him not being healthy and being in a brand new scheme. It certainly is not out of the realm of possibilities that he returns to his Pro Bowl form but if he does not he will be on his way out rather quickly.

Prior to his shoulder surgery that will cost him the entire offseason, Debo was seemingly on the trade block, but now that injury will likely scare teams off for now.

Deion Jones will seriously need to prove himself this year. He is still young but his play dropped off a cliff last year and the front office is looking to get younger and cheaper. It will take Deion having a huge season for him to stick around for the long term.
