1. Cordarrelle Patterson

This may come as a bit of a surprise but there shouldn’t be any doubt that Patterson will be facing an immense amount of pressure this season of his own creation. Cordarrelle is coming off of a breakout season that saw the utility player rack up 618-rushing yards, 548-receiving yards, and 434-kick return yards. Patterson had a special season that established him as a weapon in this league.

Patterson has always been dangerous when he touched the football but this was the first season he received a large volume of touches and had a clear role with a team. Now Patterson isn’t going to catch any team by surprise and will be an active part of opposing defenses’ game plans.

Patterson’s play style and production are certainly sustainable but there will be an amount of pressure on Cordarrelle to continue to impact the game at the level he did last season. Only this time Mike Davis won’t be heading into the season as the starter and Patterson won’t have veteran Matt Ryan to lean on.  Expectations are completely different for a player who had an outlier of a season and now will be asked to re-create that success.
