Atlanta Falcons: Three players to replace retired Eddie Goldman
Linval Joseph
Linval Joseph has played 12 seasons in the NFL and is looking to join his fourth team for his 13th season, the Atlanta Falcons should be the choice.
Out of Ndamukong Suh, Brandon Williams, and Linval Joseph, Linval should be the selection for the Falcons.
Joseph’s peak came with the Vikings from 2015 to 2017 where he dominated. His Pro Football Focus grades were 90.9, 80.1, and 90 respectively. He has really been underrated for his whole career.
Even in the past couple of seasons, he has been relatively underrated with the Los Angeles Chargers. Just last season he posted an 83 pass rush grade on PFF, even though he only had one sack in 252 pass rushing snaps. If you believe in PFF grades then you should want the Falcons to bring in Linval.
Atlanta needs a pass rush in any way they can get it. He would certainly be an upgrade over anyone other than Grady Jarrett and maybe Marlon Davidson. At this point, none of these options could hurt, and it would be shocking if the Falcons did not bring in anyone after the retirement of Eddie Goldman.
Some other names to keep an eye out for are Sheldon Richardson, Corey Peters, Star Lotulelei, and Malik Jackson.
