4. Kellen Moore

It isn’t far-fetched to believe if the Dallas Cowboys season hadn’t ended on a head-scratching designed quarterback run Moore would be employed as a head coach right now.  What he has accomplished in Dallas with average weapons has been impressive for a coordinator who is far better at calling plays than he was executing them.

Moore is only thirty-four and has been with the Cowboys since he retired with Dallas after the 2017 season.  He has put together consistently a great offense around a running back whose best days appear to be behind him and a quarterback in Dak Prescott who always seems to come up small against the best teams in the league.

Despite this Moore consistently put together a nice game plan and gives the offense a chance to win. A lot of this production has come against the lesser teams in the league, however, that is more an indictment on the players and less on Moore.

If Kellen can put together one more solid season with Dallas and not end it with a playoff blunder he will be a head coach in the 2023 season.  Mike McCarthy isn’t the reason the Cowboys are finding success it is the infusion of young talent and the playcalling of Kellen Moore keeping Dallas relevant for one more season.
