By the end of the season, Olamide was a top two receiver in the Atlanta Falcons offense and was a part of a majority of Atlanta’s offensive snaps. Tajae Sharpe and Russell Gage completed Atlanta’s starting receiving group which was easily one of the worst units in the league last year. Taking their struggles seriously the Falcons completely rebuilt their receiver core this off-season and added a myriad of options that will be competing throughout camp and the preseason.

While Olamide is currently listed as a starter it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see Atlanta cut his role and use him as a speed threat in specific packages.  Bryan Edwards and Drake London should both be the favorites to land starting jobs with Olamide, Auden Tate, and Geronimo Allison all competing for the third receiver role.

If Olamide struggles at all it wouldn’t be surprising to see the receiver benched. Though he would still play a role in the offense it is likely his snaps would regress from last season. He is best used as a speed threat who can get behind a defense and break a big play. He isn’t an every-down receiver capable of consistently making the difficult catches.
