Second bold prediction: Falcons will have a player who finishes the season with double-digit sacks

The last time the Falcons had a player reach double-digit sacks was six years ago when Vic Beasley tallied 15.5 of them, which proved to be a fluke if we are being honest.

The Falcons as a franchise have not exactly been known for their pass rush throughout their history, so this might feel like the biggest bold prediction on here. They continue to struggle to find that premium pass rusher who can rack up double-digit sacks year in and year out.

Perhaps they might be on their way to breaking the curse? Compared to last year, there is a lot more hope that someone on the team can break out.

Why is that? Well, last year it was basically Dante Fowler Jr. or bust, and we know how that went.

This year the team has a few players that could end up breaking out. The names to watch out for are Lorenzo Carter, and the two rookies, Arnold Ebiketie and DeAngelo Malone.

Carter will presumably finally get to start for a team and he has the momentum as he managed to finish his career with the Giants by putting up five sacks in the final four games.

Then we have the rookies and with rookies in the NFL, there is always that glimmer of hope that they will turn out to be the next premier player at their positions.

Ebiketie and Malone have the skillsets to pressure NFL QBs as they were excellent at doing just that in college.

If you had to pick one of these players, it would probably be the veteran Lorenzo Carter. We have seen that he can go consecutive games with a sack, plus he has multiple years of experience in the NFL.

It would be amazing to see at least one of these guys show their potential in their first year with the Atlanta Falcons.
