2. Cordarrelle Patterson

Depending on your league’s settings Cordarrelle Patterson is an absolute steal considering the value he brings not only as a running back but as a receiver. Arthur Smith obviously wanted to bring the running game he helped the Titans install to Atlanta last season. However, with Mike Davis struggling and Atlanta often playing from behind Matt Ryan was often forced to play hero ball.

While the Falcons are still going to be playing from behind often this season there is reason to believe the defense is going to take a step forward allowing Atlanta to attempt to establish the run a bit more often.

Patterson has proven himself as an elite kick returner and last season had a breakout season in a utility role. Whether it is fear of regression or simply the fact he plays in Atlanta far too many fantasy football fans are ignoring Patterson’s high value and the unique skill set he brings to a roster.

Whether on the ground or in the passing game he consistently found ways to score last season when Atlanta needed it most and despite Ryan leaving there isn’t any reason to believe this trend won’t continue.
