3. Arthur Smith

Arthur Smith has made it clear talking to the media he isn’t embracing a rebuilding year for Atlanta and simply focusing on his young players and setting the team up for the future. Smith seems to truly believe the Falcons can win now and surprise the NFC this season. If that is true there should be no question this is a must-win game for Smith and Atlanta.

If Atlanta drops this game and is sitting at 0-3 on the season you can make an easy argument that the season is already over and the team is simply playing for draft positioning. While it may be far from the truth in the standings when you consider how many teams have started 0-3 and made the playoffs or even been in contention it becomes clear that this is a must-win for Arthur Smith’s Atlanta Falcons.

Smith has shown continual growth over the last year but must find a way to both win games against bad rosters and show he is capable of putting together a big lead and holding onto it late. Here is a perfect chance for Smith to do both and signal Atlanta is improving.
