2. Atlanta’s 2nd and 3rd receivers

Coming into the season the prevailing thought was Bryan Edwards would be Atlanta’s second or third receiver with Hodge, Olamide, Byrd, and Darby serving as Atlanta’s depth options at the position. Edwards has consistently been injured and only Drake London has been a consistent target for Marcus Mariota through the first three weeks of the season.

Only four Atlanta receivers have catches on the season through three weeks for Atlanta. London is the obvious outlier and has been fantastic through the first three weeks with 214-yards and two touchdowns.

After London, however, you have Olamide with 119-yards, Hodge with 95-yards, and Edwards with 2-yards on the season that is it for Atlanta’s complete roster at the receiver position. While a portion of the blame belongs on Mariota there is no denying Atlanta’s receivers have struggled early outside of Olamide and Drake.  The Falcons must find a way to spread their targets at the position if they want to continue to have offensive success throughout the season.
