Clelin Ferrell – DE – Las Vegas Raiders

Listen, things have not worked out for Clelin Ferrell with the Raiders at all, and the Atlanta Falcons should take advantage of that as his stock is lower than it has ever been — which saying something.

Ferrell was taken with the fourth-overall pick by the Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft after he had a strong junior year at Clemson.

There is no doubt that then-Raiders GM, Mike Mayock, drafted him much higher than anyone expected, but the talent is still there. He has all the size you want at six-foot-four, 265 pounds and he still has the potential to make an impact for another team.

The Raiders clearly have their top-two pass rushers in Chandler Jones and Maxx Crosby, so Ferrell is as expendable as ever. The Falcons could snag him for a late-round pick.

Why not take that chance? This team lacks quality defensive linemen, so there is room to take a chance on a former high draft pick.

He probably wouldn’t become an outside linebacker for Dean Pees but having him line up on the defensive line could improve the play of everyone and take some pressure off of Grady Jarrett.
