Daron Payne – DT – Washington Commanders

The Atlanta Falcons, as previously stated, have an issue on their defensive line. They may have exceeded expectations so far but that still won’t cut it if they want to make a splash this year.

Grady Jarrett has been better than ever and Ta’Quon Graham has shown excellent potential, now you add Daron Payne to that and you feel a ton better about the state of the defensive line.

There were rumors over the offseason that the Commanders were shopping their defensive tackle but, obviously, he is still suiting up for a team that has looked bad this year.

Does Washington really think they are going to go anywhere with the offensive line they have right now? Because they aren’t. Why shouldn’t they find a trade partner for Daron Payne to get assets for the future?

If they think along those lines then Terry Fontenot should be making the first call. Pairing Payne with Grady Jarrett would be amazing as they are both established players who have proven to be dominant forces.

Who knows what it would cost but this could help transform this defense into a unit that can complement a high-flying offense.
